In a video interview with Vocal Video, Where Customer Storytelling Takes Us Next, I provided three customer storytelling trends that I foresee occurring over the next five years:

  1. Digital assets and promotion will remain. We will become much more creative yet brief in our storytelling format.
  2. Storytelling will evolve to story promoting—and not just by your company but also by your customers. Reach will factor more into storytelling.
  3. The growth of online customer communities will continue. Digital communities provide that whenever place to meet, offering variety for a private chat or discussion forum approach.

As a result of the pandemic, marketers are now embracing a primarily digital strategy, and they are becoming more inspirational storytellers.
